‘Kompanio Bello’ Cartel Leader Captured In Istanbul

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced the capture of Dritan Rexhepi, the leader of the drug cartel named “Kompanio Bello”.

Yerlikaya said, “With the “Cartel Operation” organized in Istanbul, Dritan Rexhepi, the leader of the drug cartel named “Kompanio Bello”, who was wanted by the Italian and Albanian authorities with a Red Bulletin and was shipping drugs from South America to Europe, was arrested.

I want our beloved nation to know that we are determined to clean our country from national and international organized crime organizations and poison dealers.”

Minister Yerlikaya’s statement is as follows:

“Dritan REXHEPI, the leader of the international drug syndicate Kompanio Bello, which transports drugs from South America to Europe, was wanted by the Italian and Albanian judicial authorities at the international level for extradition with a RED BULLETIN for the crimes of “intentional homicide, drugs, kidnapping/deprivation of liberty, forgery of travel documents, weapons and ammunition”.

Under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security, it was determined that the Poison Trafficker, who was under international surveillance by our Istanbul Police Department Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate and Intelligence Branch Directorate, entered our country from Istanbul Airport with a Colombian passport registered under the name Benjamin Omar PEREZ GARCIA. A Cartel operation was immediately carried out for the capture of Dritan REXHEPI.

The location of the cartel leader was determined as a result of the joint efforts of Istanbul Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch, Intelligence Branch, Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch Directorates and intelligence sharing with the Italian Police. He was caught in a cartel operation in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul.
