Incirlik Base Celebrates Nato’s 75th Anniversary
A celebration ceremony was held at Incirlik Base to mark NATO's 75th anniversary. Turkish, Spanish, US and Polish soldiers unfurled the flags of their countries.
According to a post on the website of the US Air Force 39th Air Base Wing Command, the 10th Main Jet Base Command, the US Air Force 39th Air Base Wing Command, the Spanish Patriot Unit and the Polish Military Unit came together to celebrate NATO’s 75th anniversary.
Turkish, Spanish, US and Polish soldiers formed the letters of NATO during the celebration ceremony organized at the gathering place called “A Apron” at Incirlik Base.
Soldiers from 4 countries posed for photos in front of ANKA, F-16 and KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft and other military vehicles, holding the flags of their countries and NATO flags.
“We are proud to stand side by side with Turkish, Spanish and Polish partners in defense of NATO’s southern flank,” the US Air Force 39th Air Base Wing Command said in a congratulatory message shared on its social media account. For 75 years, our alliance has laid the foundation for collective defense, crisis management and cooperative security in Europe. We are united, capable and ready to meet any challenge to defend the future of the next generation.”
