Turkcell, which is one of these operators and celebrating its 30th anniversary in Turkey, announced a net profit of TRY 2.6 billion in the first quarter of 2024.
The company announced that its financial and operational performances brought positive results and that they have updated their expectations for 2024 upwards. Turkcell CEO Dr. Ali Taha Koç emphasized that they have carried their sustainable growth into the first quarter of 2024.
Turkcell’s First Quarter Net Profit was TRY2.6 Billion!
Commenting on Turkcell 2024’s first quarter performance, Dr. Ali Taha Koç emphasized that Turkcell reinforced its leadership in the sector in its 30th year.
Stating that they maintained their strong position in the market with their investments in technology and customer-oriented strategies, Dr. Koç said that they achieved significant success in their strategies to acquire new subscribers in the mobile segment and upgrade existing subscribers to higher packages.
Turkcell added 472 thousand net mobile postpaid subscribers in the quarter, bringing its total subscriber base to 42.8 million. In the fixed broadband segment, Turkcell also recorded growth, particularly in fiber subscriptions, and its fixed churn rate declined to 1.3%, the lowest level since 2007.
Dr. Koç also noted that Turkcell Digital Business Services plays an important role in the digital transformation processes of corporate customers by focusing on data, energy, artificial intelligence and cyber security.
Digital services’ unique revenues grew by 32% to TRY1.6 billion in the first quarter, with 5.5 million unique paid subscribers using digital services. Digital Business Services revenue grew to TRY2.8 billion in the first quarter.
Prof. Dr. Ali Taha Koç stated that they are happy and proud to celebrate Turkcell’s 30th anniversary and that they are taking firm steps towards making the company the ‘Leader of the Digital Century’.
Emphasizing that they will continue to increase their sustainable success and add value to the country by utilizing the opportunities offered by technology, Koç said that they have gained 1.7 million postpaid subscribers in the last year and maintained their leadership.
Turkcell drew attention with its strong operational performance in the first quarter of the year, gaining 472 thousand postpaid mobile subscribers in the mobile segment and increasing its total number of subscribers to 42.8 million.
The company added 48 thousand net fiber subscribers and its total fixed subscriber base exceeded 3.1 million as demand for fiber services increased as a result of strengthening internet infrastructures. The company also reported strong growth in digital services and data center services.
