House Sales In September Decreased By 16 Percent Compared To August

The number of house sales transactions in Turkey last month decreased by about 16 percent compared to the previous month.

According to information received from officials from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, 280 thousand 58 real estate sales transactions were made across the country in September. Real estate sales in September decreased by about 10 percent compared to August, when 312 thousand 339 real estate sales were made.

From these sales transactions, 4 billion 808 million 937 thousand 276 lira title deed fee revenue was generated.

Of the 280 thousand 58 real estate sales in September, 100 thousand 839 were houses, 49 thousand 418 were land, 95 thousand 513 were fields, 11 thousand 41 were workplaces, and the rest were other immovables.

Among these real estates, housing sales decreased by approximately 16 percent compared to 119 thousand 547 sales last month, land sales decreased by 11 percent compared to 55 thousand 570 sales last month, field sales decreased by 5 percent compared to 101 thousand 104 sales last month, and workplace sales decreased by 6 percent compared to 11 thousand 758 sales last month.

In September, the most real estate sales were made in Istanbul with 26 thousand 627.

Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 16 thousand 59 sales, Izmir with 12 thousand 54, Konya with 10 thousand 200, Bursa with 9 thousand 898, Antalya with 8 thousand 772, Tekirdağ with 7 thousand 803, Balıkesir with 7 thousand 103, Gaziantep with 7 thousand 92 and Kocaeli with 6 thousand 83.
