The ministry has confirmed that Russian President Putin will be arrested if he travels to Austria.

In the statement made by the Ministry, “No one is above the law. All crimes must be enlightened without leaving a vacuum, they cannot be left unpunished.” it was said. It was emphasized that Austria, like other countries, is obliged to implement the decisions taken by the International Criminal Court.

The statement continued: “This means executing the court’s arrest warrant and detaining the wanted person. This of course also applies to President Putin.”
However, it was also noted that Putin will not take this risk by traveling to 123 member countries subject to the court.
