According to Space.com, the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) has shared a new image of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.
The first image of the black hole was taken in May 2022.
Astronomers have obtained the first polarized-light image of a supermassive black hole.
Thanks to this new image, the magnetic fields around the black hole can also be observed.
The black hole, called Sagittarius A*, is almost 4 million times more massive than the Sun.
