Galatasaray Beat Manchester United Away From Home
Our representative Galatasaray defeated Manchester United 3-2 away from home in UEFA Champions League Group A.
The 2023-2024 UEFA Champions League season continues with the second week matches.
Erik ten Hag’s English team Manchester United and Okan Buruk’s Galatasaray came face to face at Old Trafford with Slovak referee Ivan Kruzliak on the whistle.
Our yellow-red representative won the match with a score of 3-2.
First Half Ended In A Draw
Manchester United took the lead with Höjlund’s goal in the 17th minute, but the yellow-reds responded with Zaha 6 minutes later and the first half ended 1-1.
We Equalized Again With Kerem
In the 67th minute of the second half, Höjlund capitalized on a defensive mistake by Galatasaray and scored his team’s and his own second goal. The yellow-reds, who never trailed in the game, tied the score again in the 71st minute through Kerem Aktürkoğlu.
Icardi Missed A Penalty
In the 77th minute of the match, our representative won a penalty. Icardi was brought down by Casemiro after Onana’s mistake. Slovak referee Kruzliak sent Casemiro off for a second yellow card and Icardi failed to score.
3 Minutes Later He Took The Stage
Three minutes later, the Argentine star faced the goalkeeper and sent the ball into the net to put Galatasaray 3-2 ahead. In the remaining minutes, our representative had another opportunity with Icardi but couldn’t capitalize.
