Taxi drivers at Antalya Airport offer free transportation to support earthquake victims.

Two earthquakes in Kahramanmaras affected 10 provinces and thousands of people died.

While search and rescue efforts continue on the 4th day of earthquakes, evacuations from the regions continue.

There is Mobility in Antalya

After President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that many hotels would be opened to earthquake victims, activity started in Antalya as well.

Antalya Airport Taxi Cooperative President Sebahattin Kucukbaskan said that they provide service with 246 vehicles at the airport and they transport earthquake victims to their destinations free of charge.

Earthquake Victims Are Transported Free of Charge

Explaining that they received positive feedback from earthquake victims, Kucukbas said:

Our earthquake victims can come individually as well as in groups. We transport earthquake victims to their destinations free of charge, regardless of the city center or districts, so that we can also contribute. Yesterday, we provided the transfer of earthquake victims to Alanya, Manavgat Side and Kemer.

They Answer Prayers

Küçükbaş stated that they are working under the coordination of the Governor’s Office and the head directorate of security and airport, and that they went to such a practice to support the earthquake victims.

Emphasizing that there are people who want to go to a different address even though they sometimes come with groups, Küçükbaşkan said, “They pray that we do not leave them alone in their painful days. Since Antalya is a tourism city, we have always been used to transporting tourists and guests. Now we transport our earthquake victims free of charge.” said.

They Share Their Pain

Metin Koksal, who has been working at the station for two years, stated that they wanted to share the pain of the earthquake victims, even if only a little, and said that yesterday he carried his mother, father and two daughters free of charge in the Kızılağaç region of Manavgat.
