Finland Becomes NATO Member
The bill on the approval of Finland’s NATO accession protocol was accepted in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that she welcomed the adoption of the bill in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Posting on Twitter, Stoltenberg said, “This will make the whole NATO family stronger and safer.” Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said, “Finland will be a strong ally committed to NATO’s security.” He thanked all countries for their support and said, “As allies, we will provide mutual security. We will defend each other.”
