Elon Musk, who has been working in this field for many years within the Spacex company, shared his plans for the red planet with the public in his statements about the Starship rocket they developed for landing on Mars. The famous billionaire stated in his statements that manned Mars missions will begin soon.

Send People to Mars

According to the statement made by Musk, the first Starship rockets to Mars will be sent to the red planet in 2 years. The purpose of these unmanned flights will be to test the reliability of Starship’s solid landing on Mars. According to the famous billionaire, if all goes well, the first crewed flights to Mars will take place in the next 4 years.

Stating that flights will become more frequent after the first manned missions, Musk says that they aim to build a city on Mars that can produce its own resources within 20 years. In the long term, he also states that humanity will be a species spread over more than one planet. On the other hand, it is worth noting that the CEO made similar statements in the past, but postponed the years he mentioned for various reasons.
