Donald Trump’s YouTube Channel Has Been Launched
Donald Trump’s social network accounts are opening one after another. Finally, Google allowed the former President of America to return to YouTube.
Social media accounts of former US President Donald Trump are opening one after another. After Facebook and Twitter accounts, YouTube account was opened. The way has been opened for the President to upload videos to YouTube ahead of the 2024 elections.
Why Was Trump’s YouTube Channel Banned?
YouTube blocked the uploading of videos to Donald Trump’s channel after the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021 by a group seeking to disrupt the presidential election results. Unlike Meta and Twitter, YouTube deleted some of the channel’s videos, not banning it outright.
Trump On His Own Social Networking Platform
Trump hasn’t posted any new videos on YouTube since the upload restriction was lifted. The president has also been inactive for a long time on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, which have lifted bans and other restrictions; prefers to use his own social networking platform, Truth Social.
Equal to Other Users
YouTube says that such a decision was taken because it thought that voters should receive equal news from major political candidates before the election. It was also stated that Trump will be subject to the same policies as other users.
