Bayraktar Akinci TİHA Tested for the First Time: Successfully Hit the Target
Bayraktar Akinci TIHA hit the target with high precision in the test firing it carried out with the nationally and originally developed Gokce New Generation Guidance Kit.
The test firing with the GOKCE New Generation Guidance Kit developed by TUBİTAK SAGE was successfully completed.
Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA took off from Bayraktar AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Corlu district of Tekirdag for shooting. Bayraktar AKINCI hit the target with high precision with his 1000 lb MK-83 (Approximately 455 kg) equipped with GOKCE guidance kit under the body.
TESTED FOR THE FIRST TIME
GOKCE Guidance Kit, which engages with high precision to the target that Bayraktar AKINCI marked with a laser from an altitude of 20 thousand feet, was tested for the first time in an unmanned aerial vehicle. Bayraktar TB2 UAV, which took off from Bayraktar TB2 Flight Training and Test Center in Keşan, also viewed the successfully completed firing test.
A RECORD EXPORT OF 1 BILLION DOLLARS IN 2022
In the statement made by the company, Baykar has earned 75 percent of its total revenue from exports since the first time it started developing unmanned aerial vehicles about 20 years ago. Baykar, which was announced as the export leader in the defense and aerospace sectors by the Turkish Exporters Assembly in 2021, exported more than 1 billion dollars to 18 different countries in 2022. Export agreements comprised 98 percent of the contracts Baykar signed in 2022. As of 2022, Bayraktar TB2 SİHAs were exported to 27 countries in total, with the contract signed with Albania. For Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, export contracts were signed with 5 countries.
