Apple Artificial Intelligence Apple Intelligence Introduced!
Apple’s long-awaited artificial intelligence bomb was realized with Apple Intelligence. Here are the details!
Apple’s highly anticipated WWDC 2024 event took place and Apple finally broke its silence on artificial intelligence and introduced Apple Intelligence, the company’s own artificial intelligence.
This year’s 35th Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) event featured iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, tvOS 18, watchOS 11 and visionOS 2. So what can Apple’s new artificial intelligence, Apple Intelligence, do?
What Can Apple Intelligence Do?
Apple explained what they look for when working on AI: “It has to be powerful enough to help with the things that matter most. It should be intuitive and easy to use. It should be deeply integrated into your product experiences. Most importantly, it must understand you and be grounded in your personal context… and, of course, it must be built with privacy from the start.”
Apple states that its new artificial intelligence, Apple Intelligence, is deeply integrated into all its applications. The new language model that Apple has trained will provide you with convenience in all kinds of spelling throughout the system. It will allow you to automatically rewrite and correct text in Mail, Notes, Safari, Pages, Keynote, and third-party apps.
With Apple Intelligence, it’s now fun to visually express yourself and others’ avatars with image features from photos to emojis to GIFs. With Apple Intelligence, you’ll be able to create any image you want.
Apple Intelligence will be based on your personal information, accessing data from your apps and your screen. Let’s say a meeting is postponed until the afternoon, and you wonder if that will prevent you from getting to a show you want to go to on time. Apple Intelligence will analyze every detail and always know. It will calculate which event you want to go to, the details that were emailed a few days ago, the schedule of the meeting, and the distance between your meeting and the show to give you some important details.
How will Apple Intelligence Data be Private?
The biggest concern in the use of artificial intelligence today is, of course, whether the data is transferred elsewhere or used for training. Apple explains its approach to this issue with the words “On-device processing is being aware of your personal data without collecting your personal data.”
Apple says that many models are running on-device and that you will be in complete control, even of the servers that kick in when extra power is needed.
Simply put, Apple Intelligence is starting to stretch and scale computing capacity and use server-based models while protecting your privacy. In these cases, Apple Intelligence runs on servers built on Apple Silicon, but continues to ensure the privacy and security of your iPhone.
When you make a request, Apple Intelligence analyzes whether it can be fulfilled on the device. If it needs more processing capacity, it sends the data needed to fulfill the request, but the data is not stored and is only used for your requests.
Siri Gets a Makeover After 13 Years
Siri now has a new look. Apple Intelligence is being integrated more deeply into the Siri experience, so Siri will have richer understanding capabilities.
You will now be able to make corrections to Siri in real time, and the context of speech will not be forgotten. Just as Siri will remember the context of conversations, it will also remember information about features and settings to help you do things on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Siri will be continually updated in the future and will be able to understand and take action in more apps over time.
When you think of something but can’t remember which conversation or email it was in, you can ask Siri to help you find it.
