Alliance Between Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo: Will Compete With AirDrop

Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo, which came together to facilitate file transfer between devices in the past years, have now signed a new partnership. Here are the details…

Today, although Google provides the opportunity to transfer data between smartphones, unfortunately it does not have enough efficiency. For this reason, many manufacturers include built-in tools for users on their devices. Now, to alleviate these problems, Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo have signed a new partnership.

Data Transfer Between Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi Devices Made Easy

For those who don’t know, in 2019, Vivo, Xiaomi and OPPO announced the cross-brand direct file transfer alliance. This feature, which allows photo and contact transfer up to 20 MBps without any third-party application, will now be more efficient within the scope of the new collaboration. Thus, users will be able to quickly transfer third-party applications and data between these three brands to their new phones.

As of now, it has not been announced whether the enhanced data transfer feature will reach global markets. However, as peer-to-peer transfer is available outside of China, improved data migration may also be available in the near future. In addition, it should be noted that almost all brands, including Samsung (exclusive to China), have been in a transfer alliance since 2019.
