A Big Breakthrough from Bosch Turkey: Bursa will be the Center of Hydrogen Technology!

Bosch Turkey has taken action to create a global revolution in hydrogen technology. Aiming to make Bursa the global production center of hydrogen technology, Bosch plans to make Turkey the leader of the future in this field.
Daniel Korioth, President of BoschTurkey and Middle East, presented a grand vision by saying, “We set out to make Turkey the production leader in hydrogen technology of the future.”
Korioth announced that hydrogen injector production will start in 2026 and Bursa will become a world-class R&D and production center in this field. This investment of Bosch will make Turkey a strong player both in the domestic market and in exports.
Bosch, one of the largest foreign investors in Turkey, is initiating a major transformation by making significant investments in Bursa in hydrogen, the environmentally friendly technology of the future.
What are Bosch Turkey’s Future Plans?
Daniel Korioth announced that BoschTurkey realized domestic consolidated sales of 2.3 billion euros in 2023, an increase of 31 percent in euro terms.
This increase was attributed to the fact that young Turkish consumers exceeded their expectations and brought their purchases forward due to inflation. Korioth also drew attention to the importance of making Bursa an R&D and production center in hydrogen technology.
BoschTurkey will start producing hydrogen injectors for commercial vehicles in 2026 at its production facilities in Bursa.
The Bosch Manufacturing Solutions business line in Bursa focuses on machines for high-tech products such as electromobility, internal combustion engines, H2 engines, chassis and sensors.
In addition to intensive research on hydrogen at Bosch’s R&D centers in Turkey, engineers at theBosch Power Solutions factory in Bursa are working on a direct injector prototype and innovative products for hydrogen engines.
Working in close cooperation with development departments in Germany, engineers will start mass production of a hydrogen injector for commercial vehicles in Bursa from 2026. Bosch also provides design and engineering support to the hydrogen engine projects of automotive manufacturers in Turkey.
Bosch continues to invest in the future of the Turkish industry with training programs and projects such as the Bosch Talent Academy to train a qualified workforce.
