WHEN DOES THE EID HOLIDAY START?
On Tuesday, April 9, the eve of Eid al-Fitr, there would be a half-day working day.
Due to the holiday, Wednesday, April 10, Thursday, April 11 and Friday, April 12 will be a holiday, while the following days, Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14, will be added to the holiday.
Monday, April 8, the first working day before the Eid al-Fitr feast, and the feast day of April 9, which is a half-day working day, were decided as administrative leave.
Accordingly; Eid holiday will start on Saturday, April 6 and end on Sunday, April 14.
EID HOLIDAY WILL BE 9 DAYS
Giving information about the Ramadan Feast holiday, Erdoğan said:
“I would like to share with the public our decision that our public employees will be considered to be on administrative leave for 1.5 days before the Eid al-Fitr, which will start on April 10. Thus, by adding the half day on Tuesday and Monday to the Eid holiday, we have given our public employees a 9-day period that they can comfortably evaluate.
We know that our private sector also has such an approach. I congratulate you in advance on your Ramadan Feast and wish that our decision for 1.5 days of administrative leave will be beneficial.”

WHEN IS 2024 RAMADAN EID?
After the 2024 religious calendar published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the date of Eid al-Fitr was announced.
Accordingly; 2024 Eid al-Fitr will start on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 and end on Friday, April 12, 2024.
