Meta first introduced the creator marketplace to users and creators in 2022 to facilitate paid partnerships in the US. In February, the company announced plans for regional expansion, opening 8 new markets, including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Japan, India and Brazil.
Last weekend, Instagram, the Meta platform, announced that it was expanding its creator marketplace to 10 new countries to encourage collaboration.
10 New Countries Opening Creator Marketplaces
Among the new countries opening up the creator market are Turkey, South Korea, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Israel, Mexico, Argentina and Indonesia.
Meta has not set a follower count limit for creators to join the program, but they must be at least 18 years old, have a professional account, and have a significant following on the social network.
Now, when any creator joins the program from their professional dashboard, they will be able to select topics of interest and relevant brands to be discovered by companies. Creators will also be able to collaborate through an inbox called “Partnership Messages”.
Recently, not only Meta platforms but also other social platforms such as VSCO, Snapchat, YouTube and TikTok have increased their efforts to connect brands and creators.
