Google Rival ChatGPT Supported Search Engine is Coming: Date Given!
A week ago, it was rumored that OpenAI would introduce a ChatGPT-supported search engine to rival Google. According to new claims, the date has been given. Here are the details!
The tension and competition between tech giants and big AI companies is increasing day by day. Almost every week we learn about a new development and detail about artificial intelligence related to Google, Microsoft, OpenAI and even Apple.
The biggest news of last week was that a new ChatGPT-supported search engine will be introduced on May 9th and that this search engine will compete directly with Google Search. On May 9, two reliable sources shared the exact date of the search engine that is expected to be introduced.
A Competitor to Google Searches Coming from OpenAI?
Exactly a week ago, a Reddit user said that a website with the domain name search.chatgpt.com was created with a validated certificate. Android Authority also noticed that an AI podcast host tweeted “search (dot) ChatGPT (dot) com May 9th.”
In addition, the fact that when you try to go to the aforementioned “search.chatgpt.com” site now, a “Not Found” warning appears instead of a 404 or domain name error increased the possibility that this domain name was taken and that these claims were somewhat true.
In general, it makes sense for OpenAI to make such a move and try to compete directly with Google Search. This may allow ChatGPT to achieve better results as a search engine at the same time.
The date of May 9 was updated yesterday by two sources who are quite familiar with the subject. Although OpenAI still refrains from making a statement, the search engine in question is expected to be announced on May 13.
If it is true, OpenAI’s choice of May 13th is somewhat meaningful. Because one day later, on May 14, there is the Google I/O event. We don’t know if the fact that the artificial intelligence giant will make such a big move will worry Google. We can make clearer comments after both events take place on Monday and Tuesday.
