31 illegal immigrants caught in Çanakkale
31 illegal immigrants were caught on Çanakkale coast. The fugitives, all Afghan nationals, were handed over to the repatriation center.
31 illegal immigrants from Afghanistan were caught on the coast of Ayvacık district of Çanakkale.
Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams stopped a vehicle with 22 ACY 710 license plate driven by M.Y. on the Asos coastal road in Ayvacık’s Arıklı village within the scope of the fight against migrant smuggling.
The driver of the vehicle containing 31 irregular migrants including 7 women and 10 children from Afghanistan was detained for alleged human smuggling.
Migrants were handed over to Ayvacık Removal Center.
