16-year-old iPhone Sold At Auction For $63K
American technology company Apple’s first generation smartphone iPhone was sold at an online auction for 63 thousand dollars (approximately 1 million 190 thousand TL).
According to the news of CNN, the first generation iPhone, offered for sale by the LCG Auction site, has found buyers 100 times more than its real price.

27 PEOPLE BIDDED
A total of 27 people participated in the auction, which started with an offer of 2 thousand 500 dollars (approximately 47 thousand 170 TL) about a month ago, to buy the unopened iPhone.
Mark Montero, the founder of LCG Auction, said that an American person bought the new generation iPhone for $ 63 thousand in the auction where 10 buyers competed until the last moment.
START IN 2007
The first generation iPhone, originally priced at $599 (approximately 11,300 Turkish Lira), was launched in 2007 with a 3.5-inch (8.89 cm) screen, a 2-megapixel camera, 4 or 8 GB of memory and internet features.
Another first-generation iPhone sold on the same auction site last year also found buyers for $39,000 (approximately 736 thousand liras).
