When Will Chery Coming To Turkey?

Chery Turkey, which organized a press launch on Wednesday, December 28, shared the date of starting the sale of SUV models and the structure of the first authorized dealer. Here are the details:

The return of the Chinese automotive manufacturer Chery to the Turkish market has been talked about for a while. In order to give a clearer “we are coming” message and to show the SUV models that will be offered for sale in Turkey, Chery held a press launch on Wednesday, December 28th.

We can say that the event organized by the Chery Turkey team is more of a pre-promotion. At the meeting, Chery Turkey President Fenghuo Si explained how the brand has developed and been successful in the sectors it operates. Chery Turkey Vice President Ahu Turan briefly talked about the brand’s plans in our country.

Turan said that Chery started to make the feasibility of returning to Turkey years ago. In addition, it was underlined that Chery will operate directly with its own investment, not through any distributor. According to the information shared, 25 authorized dealers (sales and service) will become operational in 2023 throughout Turkey. This number will exceed 40 in 2024. Investments and plans for this are ongoing.

Chery, in the first place, will offer SUV models named Omoda 5, Tiggo 7 Pro and Tiggo 8 Pro in Turkey. It has been announced that these three models will come with a 1.6-liter turbo petrol engine producing 197 hp and 290 Nm of torque and a 7-speed automatic transmission. Sales will start in the spring of 2023, like March or April. Therefore, the prices have not been announced yet, but it has been shared that a competitive price policy will be followed. From 2024, hybrid and electric models will also be commissioned.

As HardwareHaber, we had the chance to closely examine all 3 models of Chery at the launch. Although the details are not yet clear, a video where we show the interior and exterior design of the SUVs will be published soon. We will continue to inform you, our dear readers, about the developments on the subject.
