Residence Permit

What is V-137 Restrict Code in Turkey?

Firstly, it is worth remembering that every year millions of different foreigners travel to Turkey for various purposes. Foreign citizens show the necessary care when entering the country, but then they are deported because their visas, residence or work permits expire or are cancelled. While being deported, a restriction code may be entered in their registry depending on the reasons for their deportation, and due to this code, they are prevented from re-entering the Republic of Turkey for a period of between 1 month and 5 years, and in some cases indefinitely. The reasons for setting the restriction codes differ from each other. Depending on the importance of the action taken, the duration of the restriction varies.

The V-137 restriction code is an informational code. It is the deportation decision of a foreign national who is in Turkey, in case he commits an elephant that requires his deportation. If the foreign national who has been deported does not object to this decision within a certain period of time, that is, if he does not file an action for annulment in response to this decision, the deportation decision will start to take effect and the foreign national will be deported from Turkey. To explain with an example; Violation of a foreigner’s visa was detected by the Immigration Administration. A notification document was given to the foreigner to leave Turkey. After these procedures, the code V-137 is assigned to the foreigner and this means the foreigner whose exit has been notified. If this decision is followed, no problem will occur, but if it is not followed, an administrative fine and an entry ban will be applied. The duration of this entry ban is 5 years.
