What is PTT’s “MaaS” Project? What Does It Do?

The MaaS project developed by PTT Teknoloji was introduced. With the MaaS project, different transportation options such as public transportation, car rental, bicycle, electric scooter will be offered together.

The “Mobility as a Service (MaaS)” project, developed with the support of the PTT Technology and Transport, Maritime and Communication Research Center (UDHAM), was introduced. The MaaS project, which offers the opportunity to use different transportation options such as public transportation, car rental, bicycle, electric scooter, will be put into use in Konya at the first stage.

By integrating various transportation systems into a single system, MaaS will create routes for faster, more economical and greener transportation of people. The route will be followed via the mobile application and website. More than one payment and rental transactions can be made through a single application.

Which Transportation Vehicles Will Be Supported?

In the first phase of the project, there will be innovative transportation solutions such as city and intercity buses, minibuses, taxis, metro, trams, trains, ferries, ferries, planes, car rentals, shared vehicles, micro mobility vehicles and similar.

What Features Will Be Offered?

Within the scope of the MaaS project; offering alternative options for journeys, planning, reservation, payment, rental and route tracking features. It is aimed to provide comfortable, safe, efficient and flexible solutions by using real-time data. Artificial intelligence technologies will be used.

Hakan Gulten, General Manager of PTT AS, said, “We aim to determine transportation policies and plan new investments by analyzing the data obtained within the scope of the project, and to develop a sustainable mobility solution. With this application, we also aim to provide planning, reservation, payment and navigation services.”

Cooperation with Konya Metropolitan Municipality will start in Konya as a project pilot application. In the next stage, it is aimed to expand it throughout the country.
