Ukrainian Motor Sich Opens Turkey Representative Office

Vasily Bodnar, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Turkey, announced that Ukraine-based Motor Sich company has opened a representative office in Ankara.

Vasily Bodnar, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Ankara, made an important statement in an interview with Ukrinform.

According to the news of “mil.in.ua”, Bodnar announced that Ukraine-based Motor Sich has opened a representative office in Ankara.

In his statement, Bodnar noted that the Ankara representative office of the company was selected in the first half of last year and that the agreement was made on the basis of strategic cooperation with Turkey.

Bodnar stated that the Ankara representation of Motor Sich is expected to strengthen the relations and cooperation of the two countries; He stated that the Turkish market is attractive for both Motor Sich and other enterprises in the Ukrainian defense industry.

The Ukrainian diplomat also expressed hope that the new management of the company will defend Ukraine’s interests and provide more opportunities to implement projects that will benefit Ukraine and to the advantage of its defense.

At the end of November last year, Alexey Nikiforov became the head of Motor Sich JSC. The previous CEO of the company, Vyacheslav Boguslaev, was detained by the Ukrainian Security Service on October 23, for allegedly working for Russia, and then he was dismissed from his position as the head of the joint stock company.

Motor Sich, along with Zaporozhtransformator, AvtoKrAZ, Ukrnafta and Ukrtatneft companies, was handed over to the Ministry of Defense in early November last year.

Motor Sich JSC is one of the world’s leading companies in the production of aircraft engines for aircraft and helicopters of various classes and purposes, as well as industrial turbines.
