UEFA responded to the claims of the British Daily Mail newspaper, without specifying the source, that the 2023 UEFA Champions League final match to be played at Atatürk Olympic Stadium would be moved from Istanbul according to the results of the Presidential Election.
“The Champions League Final Will Be Played In Istanbul On June 10, 2023 As Planned”
UEFA said in a statement:
“The 2023 UEFA Champions League final will be played in Istanbul on June 10, 2023 as planned. UEFA has no discussions with any political institution, government or national football federation to the contrary.”
First matches of the semifinals played
The 2023 Champions League final will be played between Inter – Milan / Manchester City – Real Madrid. In the first matches, Inter beat Milan 2-0, while Real Madrid and Manchester City drew 1-1 at the Bernabeu.
