Titanic Is So Clear For The First Time!

111 years ago, the tragic sinking of the Titanic ship was captured so clearly for the first time by digital scanning

On the night of April 15, 1912, the wreckage of the Titanic, which hit an iceberg on its maiden voyage on the night of April 15, 1912 and sank 3,800 meters deep in the Atlantic, was the subject of movies and documentaries.

Images of the Titanic obtained by digital scanning allowed the wreckage to be seen in minute detail.

Recorded In Two Parts!

The new scan captures the wreck in its entirety, revealing a complete image of the Titanic.

The images show the ship in two pieces, with the bow and stern separated by about 800 meters. A large debris field surrounds the broken ship.

700,000 Images Merged

The digital scanning was carried out in the summer of 2022 by Magellan Ltd, a deep-sea mapping company, and Atlantic Productions, which produced a documentary about the project.

Magellan’s Gerhard Seiffert, who led the planning of the expedition, said the work was the largest underwater survey project they had ever undertaken.

The Aim Is To Determine Exactly What Happened To The Ship

Titanic analyst Parks Stephenson told the BBC that there are still questions to be answered about the ship and called the images “one of the first major steps towards evidence-based research, not speculation, to tell the story of the Titanic.”

Thanks to the images, it is hoped to determine exactly what happened to the ship that sank in 1912.

The video was provided by Reuters.
