The Us Has Given Its Approval! Human Trials Of Neuralink Brain Chip Begin

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given Neuralink the necessary authorization to begin human trials.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink project, which set out with the goal of establishing a direct connection between humans and computers thanks to a chip to be implanted in the human brain, was tested on animals in 2020.

Neuralink wants to develop ultra-high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers, which will help treat brain disorders, protect and enhance the human brain, and eventually connect humans with artificial intelligence.

Human Testing Begins

Elon Musk had previously announced that the brain chips developed by his company would be tested on humans. However, approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) was required before these tests could begin.

According to new information, the US Food and Drug Administration has granted Neuralink the necessary permits for human trials.

In the statement made by Neuralink, the following statements were used:

We are excited to share that we have received FDA approval to initiate our first clinical study in humans!

This is the result of incredible work by the Neuralink team in close collaboration with the FDA and represents an important first step that will one day enable our technology to help many people.

Recruitment for our clinical trial is not open yet. We will announce more information about this soon!

Elon Musk claims that diseases such as blindness and depression could be treated with Neuralink if they manage to get implants deeper into the brain in the future.
