Born to a worker family from Ordu Aybastı, who immigrated to Germany, Dr. Dilek Gürsoy is among the few doctors sought after in Europe with her successful surgeries.

Being the first and only female Doctor in Europe in artificial heart surgery, Dr. It is known that Gürsoy took part in important heart surgeries in India and Turkey as well as in Germany.

While she was deemed worthy of the Victress Award, one of the most prestigious awards in Germany, and the German Medical Award in 2019, Gürsoy was also selected as the Doctor of the Year. Gürsoy is currently the chief physician of Clinic Bel Etage in Düsseldorf.

Dilek Gürsoy, who lost her father at a young age, said that she admired her mother for working alone for more than 40 years, raising her children, and stated that she attaches great importance to her family. Gürsoy said, “I love spending time with my family, I spend a lot of time with my mother, I listen to how my mother lived and what she did, and sometimes I say that our conditions are very good today, it is necessary to appreciate it.”
