In the Sığacık Neighborhood of Seferihisar district of Izmir, the sea receded for approximately 25 meters in some areas. Citizens expressed that they were uneasy after the earthquakes in Turkey.

With the withdrawal of the sea, islets were formed, the piers remained on land.
Facilities by the sea have moved away from the sea.
Panicked Sığacık residents stated that they experienced the Izmir earthquake and tsunami disaster on October 30, 2020 and that they remember those days as if it were yesterday.
He said that they were afraid of being drawn into the sea after the earthquake disaster, the epicenter of which was Kahramanmaraş and caused destruction in 10 provinces.
