Tesla Opens to Turkey: Recruitment Started

Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company Tesla is opening to the Turkish market. Recruitment postings began to appear on the company’s website.
Tesla is expanding its electric vehicle business in Turkey, a market where Tesla services have been demanded for years. The company does not officially exist in Turkey, but despite this, there are many Tesla owners in our country who go to the trouble of importing their electric vehicles and operating them without access to services.

Drivers have been asking Tesla to open stores and service centers in Turkey for years. In May 2018, CEO Elon Musk finally said that Tesla plans to start operations in Turkey later that year. However, it was reported that this plan was abandoned due to the increasing customs tax wars in the later months of 2018.

The First Tesla Service Center Will Be Opened in Istanbul – Besiktas

Now, after four years, Tesla is finally entering the Turkish market. Before entering a new market, Tesla usually does two things: it plans the deployment of Supercharger stations and creates a service network in Istanbul. Tesla has already shared its plans to build a Supercharger network in Turkey since 2020, and the map shows the planned Supercharger stations in Turkey.

It turned out that Tesla has listed the first job postings in Turkey and these are for service workers in Istanbul for now. More specifically, Tesla’s first service center in Turkey will likely be in Istanbul’s Besiktas district. In the coming period, the company is expected to expand its service network in other provinces.
