Terrible Explosion in Mexico! Oil Plant Caught Fire

Three people were injured in an explosion at an oil storage facility in Mexico, and five people were missing.

An explosion at an oil storage facility owned by the state oil company Pemex in the city of Ixhuatlan del Sureste, in the Mexican state of Veracruz, caused a massive fire.

Three workers who were exposed to flames and had second-degree burns on their bodies were injured in the explosion, and 5 workers were reported missing. While Pemex emergency teams were responding to the fire, injured workers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

It was stated that 100 families living in the houses in the region were evacuated and placed in shelters for security reasons in the event, where the huge smoke cloud caused by the fire was seen from kilometers away. It was learned that education was interrupted at a nearby private university.

In the statement made by Pemex officials, it was stated that the explosion occurred in the drilling equipment for an undetermined reason, and that the flames were under control. It was stated that the search for the missing workers is continuing by the authorities.
