Sea Level Rises in Iskenderun!

The fisherman’s shelter was submerged in the gulf, where the water level was raised by the southeastern province of Hatay’s Iskenderun district yesterday. In the region, where streets and streets are also covered with water, security measures have been taken due to the possibility of rising water.

In the Iskenderun district of Hatay, which was hit by earthquakes, on February 6, the sea level rose 200 meters on the coastal road in Çay Mahallesi, and the sea water, which penetrated 200 meters, went up to the 4th floor of the buildings in some regions. Sites, banks and workplaces on the boulevard were evacuated. On the 4th day of the earthquake, the sea water was withdrawn from the coast, and mud remained in its place.

After the warnings on the unfavorable weather conditions in the earthquake regions from the Twitter account of the General Directorate of Meteorology, the storm was effective in the Iskenderun district of Hatay last night. Sea water rose once again in Iskenderun district due to the storm.

The water hitting the beach led to raids within a few hundred meters. While the Ataturk Memorial Site and Ataturk Street were submerged, the nearby streets were also adversely affected.

NEW EARTHQUAKE HAS BEEN TERMINATED

Due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the streets where cracks and dents occurred in some parts of Iskenderun were closed by the police teams.

In addition, the 4.5 magnitude earthquake that occurred off the coast of Iskenderun Bay in Payas district at 23:49, when the sea began to rise, worried the public. The water level rises from time to time in and around the shelter, which is under water in the region where the coast guard teams take security measures.
