Samsung Ends Galaxy S10 Series

It’s been 4 years since Samsung launched the Galaxy S10 series, and the South Korean tech giant is now pulling the plug on this series. The Galaxy S10 series will no longer receive any updates.

End of the road for Galaxy S10 series and Galaxy A50

Both smartphone series will finally receive the update that comes with the April 2023 security patch. This update has already been released for users in Turkey. Galaxy A50, Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ will not receive updates after this point. As it is known, the Galaxy S10 series debuted with the Android 9 operating system. As promised by Samsung, the series has been upgraded to Android 12 by receiving three major Android updates. On the other hand, the Galaxy A50, which was also released with Android 9, received two major updates and was upgraded to Android 11.

Removing these models from its software support plans, Samsung, interestingly, does not seem to have removed the Galaxy S10 5G, which was released with the Galaxy S10 series, from its list. Maybe this model could get a few more security patches. In addition, the Galaxy S10 Lite has not yet come to the end of the update calendar, since it was released in 2020. Although this model has come to the end of major update support with the Android 13 version, it will continue to receive security updates for at least one more year.
