Reaction Grows: Which Countries Have Banned TikTok?

Reactions to TikTok, which is alleged to be used in espionage activities, continue. We have compiled the countries that have banned the use of TikTok so far for you!

TikTok, which surpassed Google to reach the world’s most visited domain name last year, faced many claims after this unstoppable rise. Among the charges leveled against TikTok, the biggest accusation was that it carried out espionage activities on behalf of the Chinese Government.

First, the reaction to TikTok, which was banned by government officials by the decision of the US Senate, grew. TikTok has been bannedin many countries, especially in America and Europe.

Countries Banning the Use of TikTok

The use of TikTok has beenbanned by manycountries, if not for citizens, in order to ensure the security of government personnel’s data. The European Commission’s ban covering 27 countries stood out as the biggest ban.

The first ban on TikTok came from Taiwan, which is hostile to China. After Taiwan, government officials banned the use of TikTok on their phones in the USA, causing a sensation.

The UK has recently taken a similar decision. TikTokhas thus been banned in more than 25 countries in total.
