A gymnasium in Iran was closed on the grounds that it offered coeducation.
It has been reported that a sports hall, which is stated to provide coeducation in Iran’s Elborz province, was sealed and a lawsuit was filed against its owner and trainer.
According to the Iranian official agency IRNA, Ferdis Prosecutor Huseyin Nasirhaki gave instructions to investigate the matter after hearing the news that mixed training was provided in a sports club. Nasırhaki stated that as a result of the investigation, it was determined that mixed training was given in the gym located in the city of Meskindest in the city of Kerec.
Noting that the place in question was sealed, Nasirhaki said that a lawsuit was filed against the owner of the salon and his trainer and the investigation continues.

In Qom province, on 25 December, a shopping mall with 700 people was sealed, which hosted dozens of stores on the grounds that “clothing rules were not followed”. In the city of Qazvin, on 20 December, 5 workplaces were closed due to “serving people who do not wear a headscarf”.
The death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who fell ill and was taken to the hospital on September 13 in Tehran after being detained on the grounds of “not obeying the headscarf rules” by the Irshad patrols known as the “morality police”, died on September 16, sparked protests against the country’s government. Hundreds of people lost their lives in anti-regime demonstrations across the country, and more than 10 thousand people were detained.
