New never-before-released images of the sunken wreck of the Titanic have been shared. The published hour-and-a-half video shows an expedition dive in 1986.
The Woods Hole Institution of Oceanography has released new never-before-seen images of the Titanic. The video uploaded to the YouTube channel was shared on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of James Cameron’s Oscar-winning movie Titanic.
The images were taken by researchers from the Oceanographic Institute in July 1986. The ship’s wreck is manned diver Alvin and remote-controlled Jason Jr. It was recorded at a depth of about 3 km from the surface of the Atlantic Ocean with the vehicle. The 1 hour 21 minute video shows the ship from many angles.
Reveals the Ship’s Wreck
Rare never-before-released images reveal many elements of the ship’s hull and upper deck. It is also possible to see some decor and interior decoration items.
