Mexico’s Search Dog Proteo Died in Wreck!

After the earthquake disaster, the dog named Proteo, who worked in the search and rescue team from Mexico, died.

After the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquake, the dog named Proteo, who worked with the team that Mexico sent to Turkey, was left under the rubble of the building that collapsed on him while he was searching.

The dog, which was pulled out from under the rubble, could not be saved despite all the interventions.

“We are suffering”

In a statement made by the Mexican Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA), “As members of the Mexican Army and Air Force, we are deeply saddened by the loss of our great comrade, the dog named Proteo. You fulfilled your duty as a part of the Mexican team in the search and rescue efforts we carried out for our brothers in Turkey. Thank you for your heroic work.” it was said.

A ceremony was held for the Proteo by the Mexican search and rescue team.
