Bilecik province is in the south east of the Marmara Region; It is located on the cutting points of Marmara, Black Sea, Central Anatolia and Aegean Regions. There are rich marble quarries in the region. The region, founded around the Sakarya River and known for its richness of ponds and streams, bears the traces of history from ancient times to the present. . Its establishment was realized with the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Institute of Social Sciences and Science, affiliated to the Rectorate. On April 27, 2012, the name of Bilecik University was changed to Bilecik Seyh Edebali University.

The Main Campus:

In Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, great importance is given to social and cultural activities as well as education and scientific studies. In this context, in addition to scientific meetings such as conferences, seminars, panels, symposiums, many cultural activities such as shows, exhibitions, theater, concerts are organized. Various sports activities are organized at our university. In the central campus of our university, there are indoor sports hall, tennis court, indoor carpet field, basketball and volleyball court, suquash hall, climbing wall, natural walking and picnic areas. Accommadation:

There are Bilecik Dormitory (Girls) with a capacity of 1184 beds, Bilecik Halime Hatun Student Dormitory (Girls) with a capacity of 738 beds, Seyh Edebalİ Student Dormitory (Male) with a capacity of 324 beds and Ertugrulgazi Student Dormitory (Male) with a capacity of 556 beds belonging to the Institution of Credit and Hostels. In the city center, there are private dormitories and apartments serving students.

Transportation:

The campus is 6 kilometers from the city center, on the Bilecik – Istanbul highway. There is continuous transportation from the city center to the campus. In addition, Bilecik’s proximity to other cities and frequent train-bus facilities provide convenience in terms of transportation for students who will prefer our university.

Prep. School:

English – I and English – II courses are conducted at the School of Foreign Languages of Bilecik Seyh Edebali University . In addition to providing optional English and German service lessons in various units, it has been providing intensive English education in optional preparatory classes since the academic year 2016-2017.

The Library:

The library was established on September 4, 2008 by assigning the Head of the Library and Documentation Department. The Library and Documentation Department has a closed area of 5.000 m². In the center, besides four large halls named Ulugbey, Biruni, Asikpasazade and Dursun Fakih Hall, there are 24/7 Hall, 1 conference hall, 6 project and group study rooms for 8 people, 1 visually impaired study room, 6 working offices. The total seating capacity of all halls and rooms in our library is 850 people.
