While Selçuk Public Hospital was serving as a Health Center and Health Center until 1988, the construction of the additional building started in 1989, was completed in 1992 and was put into operation, and the 50-bed Selçuk Public Hospital was put into service. Selçuk Public Hospital is a second level inpatient treatment institution that provides health services to the district with a population of approximately 30000 (80000-100000 inhabitants since it is a tourism district in summer), in parallel with the developing tourism and increasing population. The total land area on which the hospital is established is 5344 m2 and it has a closed area of 3924 m2. The current hospital still consists of four blocks. Block A: It has three floors and there is an administrative section on the first floor, surgical units on the second floor and internal services on the third floor. B Block: It has four floors and on the first floor there are continuation of administrative offices, archives and other social service units. There is an operating room and a pharmacy on the second floor. On the third floor, there is a delivery room and maternity service, while on the last floor there are physician rest rooms, training hall and dining hall. Block C: It contains only emergency polyclinic and observation units on a single floor. D Block: It has two floors and contains all polyclinic, laboratory, dialysis, dental polyclinic and imaging units.
The mission of Selçuk Public Hospital is to determine the needs of its patients that can be met with nursing initiatives and to analyze them within the scope of the nursing diagnosis process, to increase the level of satisfaction based on quality in patient care and to increase the performance and job satisfaction of working nurses by providing continuous training and development.
