Health Sciences University Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital started to operate under the name of Beyoğlu Hospital on 14.02.1971 by opening it to the service of our people with 1000 licensed beds. The hospital has the authority to train assistants for a full time in some clinics and for half a time in some clinics when it was first put into service. It has been transferred to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey since 18.02.2005, and its name is changed as “T.C. Ministry of Health Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital “. It still continues its activities under this name, affiliated with the Ministry of Health. In the hospital bearing the title of “Baby Friendly Hospital”; mothers are informed about how to breastfeed their babies. There are “Breastfeeding Rooms” in A and B Polyclinics. In breastfeeding rooms; Sitting groups, changing places are available. Since March 2009, it has started the “Physician Selection Practice” by taking the Physician Selection Logo. The hospital works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in every branch.
