Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital

Health Sciences University Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital started to operate under the name of Beyoğlu Hospital on 14.02.1971 by opening it to the service of our people with 1000 licensed beds. The hospital has the authority to train assistants for a full time in some clinics and for half a time in some clinics when it was first put into service. It has been transferred to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey since 18.02.2005, and its name is changed as “T.C. Ministry of Health Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital “. It still continues its activities under this name, affiliated with the Ministry of Health. In the hospital bearing the title of “Baby Friendly Hospital”; mothers are informed about how to breastfeed their babies. There are “Breastfeeding Rooms” in A and B Polyclinics. In breastfeeding rooms; Sitting groups, changing places are available. Since March 2009, it has started the “Physician Selection Practice” by taking the Physician Selection Logo. The  hospital works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in every branch.

Transportation:

If you are coming from the Anatolian Side, you can reach Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital when you get off at Okmeydanı Hospital stop by taking the Metrobus from Kadıköy Söğütlüçeşme.

From Üsküdar, take one of the buses 16A, 320A, 11T, 16U and get off at Uzunçayır and transfer to the Metrobus. When you get off at Okmeydanı Hospital stop by metrobus, you can reach Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital.

If you are coming from Büyükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, Avcılar, Küçükçekmece, Bahçelievler, you can take the Metrobus from any metrobus stop and get off at Okmeydanı Hospital stop and reach Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital.

If you are coming from Bağcılar or Güngören, take the tram line from Kabataş-Bağcılar to Zeytinburnu and transfer to Metrobus. You can reach Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital when you get off at the Okmeydanı Hospital stop by metrobus.

From Taksim, you can get off at the Taksim Metro at Mecidiyeköy-Şişli station and transfer to the Metrobus. When you get off at Okmeydanı Hospital stop by metrobus, you can reach Okmeydanı Training and Research Hospital.
