Kumluca is a district of Antalya province. The first settlement of Kumluca was established in 1830 under the name of Sarı Kavak on the slopes of the hills, about 5 km east of the center of the district. Finike, separated from Elmalı, and Iğırmağardıç district of Antalya were divided into two as Kumluca and Kemer, and Kemer was connected to Antalya and to Finike in Kumluca. Meanwhile, Sarıkavak is a neighborhood of Iğırmağardıç District. Today’s Kuzca Village was a separate subdistrict at that time. In 1924, the center of the Kuzca Subdistrict was taken to Gödene (Altınyaka) and in time, the Kumluca subdistrict was established where the present district center was settled by the nomads and turned into a crowded center. Kumluca subdistrict later grew further and became a district by leaving Finike in 1958 with the law numbered 7033.
The foundation of the Kumluca Public Hospital building was laid in 1995 with the contributions of the Kumluca Hospital Construction and Sustenance Association. On April 17, 2005, the 100-bed Kumluca Public Hospital was opened by our Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a new service building and put into service.
