Erenkoy Mental and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital
The hospital is a branch hospital serving in the fields of psychiatry, neurology and child psychiatry. The hospital consists of Central Hospital Campus, Çekmeköy District Polyclinic, five community mental health centers and two addiction counseling and training centers. Erenköy Health Campus is one of the authentic health facilities of Istanbul with its land, historical service buildings built in different years and a large garden covered with pine trees. Turning the campus into a health facility begins with the establishment of Erenköy Sanatorium in 1932. It has started to serve psychiatry and neurology patients since 1977. In 2005, the hospital was transferred from SSK to the Ministry of Health, and in 2006, it became a training and research hospital and continues to serve the whole country as Erenköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital.
Erenköy Mental and Neurological Diseases Training and Research Hospital aims to raise awareness in all segments of the society about the importance of mental health. The other aim of the hospital is to do academic studies and scientific research and to follow new information and practices and to support their development. Also, it aims to provide preventive and curative health services in the field of Mental Health and Neurology to the society at the highest level reached by medicine.
