The hospital, whose project was renovated as earthquake resistant by Ege University Faculty of Civil Engineering, was put into service as SSK Buca Seyfi Demirsoy Hospital on 06-07-2002. It was transferred to the Ministry of Health as the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health Buca Seyfi Demirsoy Public Hospital on 19.02-2005. A total of 8 buildings, primarily the inpatient unit and the polyclinic building, serve at high standards in a closed area of 24000 m2. In 406-bed hospital, polyclinic and inpatient services are provided in all branches. All patient rooms have telephones, and 40 single rooms have a bathroom, refrigerator, television, and companion seat. In the hospital, where there are emergency, 10 operating rooms, local intervention rooms, 10-bed 2nd step intensive care unit, 8-bed 1st step intensive care unit, 9-bed coronary intensive care unit and 24-hour Specialist Physicians, the patients have the freedom to choose physician since August 2004.
