Considering the increasing population and touristic importance of Aydın province and its surroundings, the university planned and designed a new hospital building in 1996 in order to meet especially the tertiary health service demand of the region. The foundation of the new hospital building was laid in 1998 by the President Süleyman Demirel. After twelve years of construction, the Rector Prof. Dr. Şükrü Boylu moved to its new building in Aytepe on February 13, 2010, with the effort and significant support of the state. The hospital is planned as five blocks with a closed area of 80000 m2. Currently, the section consisting of three blocks with a total closed area of 52000 m2 has been completed and put into service. The bed capacity of the hospital is 596 beds, including 488 service beds and 108 intensive care beds. The patient rooms are for two persons and each room has a bathroom, toilet, television, mini refrigerator, telephone, central air conditioning system, nurse call system, continuous hot water and hair dryer. The finest details have been considered for the comfort of the patients. All of the  14 operating theaters in the hospital are Hepa Filtered. In these halls, an air curtain is created in the surgical area and a safe environment is created especially for prosthesis surgeries. The  operating rooms can broadcast to the conference hall for educational purposes with cameras. It is of great importance for the education of the students.
