Istanbul Local Markets

When it comes to practical and affordable shopping in Istanbul, one of the most popular places is undoubtedly the street markets. It is possible to find everything you need from food to fresh fruits and vegetables, from clothing to electronic products at affordable prices in the neighborhood markets set up in certain districts on certain days of the week.

Kadıköy Tuesday Market

Established for over 100 years, the Tuesday Market is one of the oldest markets in Istanbul. Between 2015 and 2019 it had to be moved due to market space renovation. You can visit the market, which has been renovated and turned into a closed area, on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Beykoz Bazaar (Cubuklu High Society Bazaar)

The area consisting of 170 shops has been transformed from a bazaar into a covered bazaar so that the tradesmen of the old high society bazaar can do business every day. You can go to the bazaar established in Beykoz Çubuklu every day of the week and do shopping.

Besiktas Saturday Market

The semi-covered bazaar area opposite Beşiktaş Marriage Office consists of 2 floors. Fruit and vegetables are sold on the first floor. The second floor is the high society market and all kinds of goods are sold.

Erenkoy Society Market

Established on the minibus road between Erenköy and Suadiye, the bazaar is one of the most popular high society markets in Istanbul. Here you can buy products with original labels of famous brands much cheaper. You should definitely try the doner restaurant, which is as famous as the bazaar stalls set up on Thursdays.

Bahcesehir Pazarturk

There are buses, minibuses and services from central points to reach the bazaar, which looks like a shopping mall rather than a side street. Half of its space is enclosed and escalators separate clothing and food. While clothing is very cheap in the market set up on Tuesdays and Saturdays, you can see the market-grocery price in the food section.
