Hundreds of people were detained in the incidents where 41 protesters were killed. Iranian Judiciary Head Gulam Hussein Muhsini Ejei stated that those who support the protests will be prosecuted.

Speaking at the meeting of the Supreme Judicial Council, Ejei warned those who support the protests in the country, according to Iran’s official news agency IRNA.

Ejei said that not only those who took to the streets but also those who support them are guilty, and that the legal process will be carried out against these people.

Ejei, reacting to the support of some famous names in the country for the ongoing protests, stated that these people will pay for the material and moral damage inflicted on the country.

The protests that started after Amini’s funeral in his hometown of Sakkiz on September 17, spread to many cities of the country in a short time.

Speaking at the meeting, Tehran Prosecutor Ali El-Kasi Mehr noted that special branches were formed within the prosecutor’s office for the immediate trial of the demonstrators, whom he described as “rebels”.
