Iran To Conduct Large-Scale Earthquake Drill

It has been announced that a comprehensive air rescue exercise will be held in Tehran, the capital of Iran, against the possibility of an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.

According to the news of Iranian state television, Ali Nasiri, Chairman of the Tehran Crisis Prevention and Management Authority, said that the exercise to be held on March 2 aims to develop and coordinate the level of preparedness for a possible earthquake in Tehran.

Noting that the exercise will measure the readiness of air aid and rescue teams, Nasiri said, “This exercise was designed according to a hypothetical earthquake scenario that occurred in the north of Tehran and occurred with a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale.” aforementioned.

Noting that 15 organizations will participate in the exercise, Nasiri said that two similar exercises were held before, and that the third of the air aid and rescue exercises will be held this year.
