In France, the Government Is Not Backing Down
In France, it was reported that the government will not withdraw the controversial pension reform, despite strikes, mass protests and violence in many cities of the country.
Government Spokesperson Olivier Veran told the French press that they would not withdraw the reform even though it caused protests. Using the phrase “We cannot allow the idea that violence will be a just or tolerable reaction” to settle, Veran emphasized that the executive will continue with a roadmap in which it will be reorganized. Veran commented that “Pension Reform will not be in a situation like the retirement of reform”.
