Hundreds of Thousands of Starbucks Beverages Are Being Recalled from the Market

Thousands of Starbucks drinks are being confiscated on the grounds that the bottles may contain shards of glass. According to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), more than 300,000 vanilla Frappuccino drinks have been recalled.

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) made an important statement, announcing that some drinks sold at Starbucks may contain glass fragments. As a result, more than 25,000 cases, or more than 300,000 Vanilla Frappuccino beverages, were recalled. Hundreds of thousands of beverages are expected to be recalled.

It turned out that the decision to confiscate was taken after glass fragments were detected in some cold coffee drinks. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, a total of 25,200 cases of beverages produced by PepsiCo, with 12 bottles per case, have been recalled.

The recall, which was initiated on January 28, covers beverages with expiration dates on March 8, May 29, June 4, and June 10, according to the FDA. The drinks were distributed across the US, though not at Starbucks retail locations, according to a representative from PepsiCo.

The FDA announced that PepsiCo, which manufactures and distributes the products of the US-based coffee chain, has voluntarily made a ‘Class 2’ recall. ‘Class 2’ is done when the likelihood of serious adverse health consequences is remote.

BEVERAGES ARE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET

In a statement on behalf of The North American Coffee Partnership, “The removal of these products is currently ongoing. The North American Coffee Partnership is committed to a high level of quality in products. Providing our consumers with a quality experience is our priority and whenever a potential concern is raised. We always act with great care.” it was said.
