Former Prime Minister of Italy Berlusconi Caught Leukemia

A source close to the matter said Berlusconi was diagnosed with leukemia. It is said that the Italian politician started chemotherapy.

I spoke with Professor Zangrillo (Berlusconi’s doctor) this morning. He told me that Berlusconi had had a quiet night and his condition was stable.

Caused Concerns

While no statement was made from the hospital regarding Berlusconi’s condition, it was stated in the Italian press that the famous leader had hematological (blood diseases) problems, which caused concerns.

While it was stated that the Italian politician’s treatment in the intensive care unit of cardiovascular surgery continues, ANSA agency also wrote that the condition of the former prime minister is stable.

Berlusconi, who was the longest-serving prime minister in Italy between 1994 and 2011, caught the coronavirus in September 2020, and was able to recover after a troublesome two-week treatment period.

Berlusconi, as he exited the hospital, “I managed to get over it this time, too.” he said.
